Recently I've been exploring the different expressions of the phrase 'I searched for something more real and honest'. Most of these expressions are poetic, some are musical and some theatrical. The phrase means a lot to me at the moment and I feel like it's been tattooed into the linings of my heart. I guess I won't stop dwelling on it until I find all the answers.

I searched for something more real and honest
and found a homesickness for something rose-tinted and gone.

A home non-existent.
For a safety in security no longer valid,
for a ticket return that expired long ago.

I am not lost because I have nowhere to be,
I am not confused because I have no direction,
I am aimless and boundless and belong nowhere.
